For this interview, we spoke to Cornelis Lemstra, COO and Dennis Kauwenbergh, Technical IT-consultant at LINKIT.

A full-cloud platform

Therefore, as we started our digital transformation, a robust, flexible, full cloud platform was a no-brainer. We wanted to create an end-to-end environment in which we had full control of future developments. No mishmash in applications, but an environment with modern high-end technology and smooth integrations. Salesforce brings all that.

Expanding the Salesforce environment

We started by integrating our ATS that was built on the Salesforce Platform with Salesforce’s Sales Cloud CRM and Pardot Marketing Automation. At the same time, we launched a new website. Now, marketing, sales and recruitment are perfectly aligned, so we can create powerful and congruent customer and candidate journeys.

Byner: the missing link on Salesforce

The thing was, after a contract was signed, in our workflows, things still were a bit ambiguous. So we started to look for a tooling that could manage the process from contract to invoice. And that’s when we bumped into Byner and became a launching customer. As such, we co-created the app and helped make it as valuable and relevant as possible.

Byner is a brand new app on the Salesforce Platform which streamlines the management of professionals by powerfully automating processing around contract management, assignments, resource planning & scheduling, time & expenses and onboarding & compliance.

The app now automates workflows from lead to invoice and provides a smooth handover to finance and back office. With Byner, colleagues of all departments can now smoothly collaborate.

Earlier, oftentimes we had to search in email, documents, Excel sheets or paper files to collect necessary information. Now, a 360° view of all relevant data, is just one click away. Everyone has instant access to every piece of information they need. This makes collaboration between colleagues and different departments very efficient.

Collaboration and productivity

Marketing initiates activities like campaigns, events and generates leads of customers and candidates, and sales and recruitment can seamlessly take over in the same environment. Once contracts are signed, Byner takes over with powerful automated processes. Just click on the customer file and you’ll see all opportunities, assignments, and invoices at a glance.

To make work even easier, the app has smart features. like document generation, e-signing and billing preparation, so we work compliant and first time right. For LINKIT this means a huge gain in terms of productivity and efficiency. The customer is now central in all our processes.”

One central cockpit

Dennis Kauwenbergh adds: “We now have one central cockpit related to customers, suppliers/partners, professionals and contractors. Fully integrated with Exact. Our entire core process is executed within Salesforce. The environment – and Byner in particular – is designed and developed to enforce a desired digital way of working.

We experience that different departments now communicate with each other faster and more effectively. They understand each other much better because we now have a single source of truth. The user-friendly design also makes it easier for contract management and finance staff to transfer work.

Swift and accurate invoicing process

Because of the extensive possibilities to create your own lists, kanban-views, filters and reports, exactly the right information is shown to the right employees. For Finance, this means that they can process invoices more quickly and they can be confident about the information shown because they have been involved in setting it up themselves. The system also creates relations between important elements such as the billing event and the associated time sheets and attachments. This saves a lot of time when checking, approving and making corrections.

Efficiency and transparency

For contract management, the assignment wizard provides the most value. In just a few steps, all the information needed to draw up and send a contract is collected. Thanks to integrations with Documill document automation and electronic signing with SignRequest – this is all carried out within Byner. This makes work much more efficient and clear than before.


A contract is sent out much faster and everything is immediately clear to other departments such as Sales and Finance. Another important gain comes from the fact that objects and dashboards related to compliance documents are in place. Having files in order is an important KPI for the organization. With Byner we easily nail that KPI.”
