Faster candidate follow-up and cleaner search
At Byner we build a lot! And we’ve decided why not share it with the world.. So welcome to our first release blog in which we highlight some improvements on features and let you get a sneak peek of what’s on our horizon.
Byner is an end-to-end platform for staffing and recruitment agencies — covering everything from sourcing and placement to scheduling, time tracking and invoicing, built natively on Salesforce. Every six weeks we ship a new release. Until now, those updates went only to our customers. Starting with 4.6, we’re opening that up: a look at what we’ve shipped, and where we’re headed.
AI that knows what to write
Recruiters send a lot of templated emails during a hiring process — rejecting a candidate after a CV screen reads very differently from rejecting them after a client interview, or introducing a shortlisted candidate to a client. Generic AI doesn’t know the difference: they write one all-purpose email and leave the recruiter to fix the message.
Byner’s AI Assistant, which helps recruiters draft and refine text throughout the platform, now recognizes which step of the process a candidate is in and adjusts its suggestions accordingly. A rejection after an initial screen reads differently from a rejection after a final interview, and a client introduction is written to sell the candidate, not apologize for one. Same AI Assistant, sharper output, because it now knows the context it’s writing in.
From uploaded CV to candidate profile, in one click
Uploading a CV is the easy part of adding a new candidate. Byner already turns that upload into a structured profile automatically — pulling out experience, skills and contact details, and creating the candidate record without manual data entry.
What used to take an extra step was finding that newly created profile afterward. In 4.6, the moment a CV finishes processing, the candidate’s name appears as a direct link, so recruiters land on the record immediately instead of searching for it.
Search results that surface active candidates first
Byner’s Search & Match uses semantic search and AI matching to help recruiters find the right person for a job fast, searching either from a role or from a candidate. The one thing that used to slow this down: candidates who’d already gone through a closed-out process cluttered the results, burying the ones actually worth acting on.
Search results can now be filtered by where a candidate currently stands in the process — active versus closed — so recruiters see who’s actually in play without scrolling past history.
Also in this release: the first Byner agents
4.6 also marks something bigger than any single feature above: the first real Byner agents, capable of carrying out entire steps of the recruitment process on their own — not just supporting an action when asked, but recognizing a moment in the process and acting on it, while staying fully reviewable and under the recruiter’s control.
This is the first step of a broader shift in how we think Byner, and staffing businesses more generally, will operate. We’ve written about what that means separately: Byner is going agentic
